CLOMID

Clomiphene Citrate is used by bodybuilders post cycle to bring back the body’s own natural production of Testosterone. It can also be used during cycles to prevent estrogen problems but usually Nolvadex and Proviron are used for that purpose.

Clomiphene elevates both follicle stimulating hormone and (primarily) luteinizing hormone and will cause natural testosterone production to increase. This effect is especially beneficial to the athlete at the conclusion of a steroid cycle when endogenous testosterone levels are depressed. If endogenous testosterone levels are not brought back to normal, a dramatic loss in size and strength is likely to occur once the anabolics have been removed. This is due to the fact that without testosterone (or other androgens), the catabolic hormone cortisol becomes the dominant force affecting muscle protein synthesis (quickly bringing about a catabolic metabolism). Often referred to as the post-steroid crash, it can quickly eat up much of your newly acquired muscle. Clomid can play a crucial role in preventing this crash in athletic performance.

The common dosage in male bodybuilders is 50 – 100mgs per day taken for up to two weeks at a time. Most of the time you will be back to normal within 1 week of usage but it never hurts to take a little extra just to be on the safe side. Should be administered with meals to help absorption and lessen any stomach upset.

HCG (Pregnyl) and Clomid and/or Nolvadex are usually taken simultaneously to kick start the production of natural testosterone

As for toxicity and side effects, Clomid is considered a very safe drug. Women will show more of these side effects than men, as they are more susceptible to the estrogen hormone.

Clomid 25mg per day
Nolvadex 20mg per day
